This is a lake for fishing and boating. Although it is situated next to the Sierra Nevada mountains, there are minimal trees and a few oaks around this man-made reservoir. This place is at the southern end of the Sierras, next to the Lower Central Valley.
Tule Recreation Area and Rocky Hill Recreation Area have 2 boat launch ramps.
