Great Western Fan Festival Returns to Visalia Convention Center
Three-day festival to take place April 28-30, 2022
Visalia, Calif. (April 19, 2022) - Visit Visalia is pleased to announce that the Great Western Fan Festival (GWFF) is returning to Visalia after a two-year hiatus. The event will take place April 28-30, 2022 at the Visalia Convention Center located in Visalia’s pedestrian-friendly downtown. Gospel music fans from across the United States and Canada will soon be headed to Visalia for this “Gospelpalooza Gathering.”
Since 2010, the City of Visalia has welcomed fans of southern gospel music for the three-day festival, which combines classic gospel music sounds with the “toe-tappin’ melodies that fills everyone’s heart with joy and happiness.”
“We are so very excited to be coming back this year, because two years is just way too long!” Said Dean Hopper, event organizer. “The singers, the songs, the kind and friendly atmosphere are just a few things you'll expect to experience if you’ve never been to this event. It’s the music you love."
This year’s GWFF line up of artists is extensive with a variety of musical styles that will appeal to all fans of gospel music and will feature well-known artists such as “The Hoppers,” “The Collingsworth Family,” “The Booth Brothers,” “Joseph Habedank,” “Liberty Quartet,” “Triumphant Quartet,” “Ernie Haase & Signature Sound,” “Legacy Five,” “Lynda Randle” and many more.
Also returning this year is the 8th Annual West Coast Fan Fest Golf Tournament on Friday, April 29 at Valley Oaks Golf Course in Visalia. All proceeds raised from this tournament go to the Hopper Heritage Foundation. The organization is for religious, charitable and educational purposes to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the medium of gospel music and assist those with a desire for this ministry but without the financial means.
The festival starts the evening of Thursday, April 28 and continues through the evening of Saturday, April 30 and will include morning, afternoon and evening concerts.
