Visit Visalia Announces Summer Promotion - 'Double the Parks,Double the Adventure'
Stay in Visalia. Explore Sequoia National Park and Visalia Adventure Park for Free.
Visalia, Calif. (March 4, 2020) – Visit Visalia, the most robust city near Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, announced a limited-time promotion offered through the new vacation booking service on VisitVisalia.com.
With “Double the Parks, Double the Adventures,” visitors book a two-night stay in any of the 16 Visalia hotels and receive two free passes for the Sequoia Shuttle, which includes entry into Sequoia National Park and two passes for Visalia Adventure Park/ Sequoia Springs Water Slides.
Sequoia Shuttle allows guests to relax and enjoy the journey into the Giant Forest. In addition to bypassing the entry gates, they can witness the stunning scenery, look for wildlife and spot waterfalls flowing down, all while relaxing in an air-conditioned shuttle with their family. Sequoia Shuttle pick-up locations are at most Visalia hotels or within a short walking distance. Once in the park, travelers use the ticketless in-park shuttles to see all the main attractions. It travels four loops within the park, offering hop-on, hop-off service.
“We are excited to offer visitors the chance to explore one of the nation’s most celebrated parks for free this summer,” said Nellie Freeborn, executive director of Visit Visalia. “This promotion gives guests the opportunity to adventure during the day and relax in comfortable hotel accommodations in the evening.”
Situated in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Sequoia National Park is a majestic and exquisitely maintained wonderland for hiking, fishing and outdoor adventure. It is home to the largest living tree in the world, the General Sherman Tree. Standing at 275 feet tall, about 102 feet in diameter and weighing more than 2.7 million pounds, it is also the largest living organism, by volume, on the planet. The park also boasts amazing waterfalls and spectacular views from famous spots like Moro Rock.
Visalia Adventure Park is seven acres of fun for the whole family including their newest attraction: Sequoia Springs Splash Park. A 900-gallon barrel of water is the focal point of this aquatic adventure with interactive water cannons and spinners as well. It offers three water slides of various thrill levels and a smaller slide for younger kids.
The water zone is themed after Sequoia National Park, featuring rustic and natural elements reminiscent of the massive sequoia trees for which the area is known. The park has a commitment to sustainability and green energy.
