Visalia, Calif. (July 19, 2019) – Summer in Visalia is heating up with a free concert series featuring up-and-coming country music stars, followed by the ever crowd-pleasing Boots, Brews & Bacon Festival.
“Whether you want to be one of the first to hear new hits from fresh artists or experience the best in beer tasting mixed with the deliciousness of bacon, Visalia is home to all your summer entertainment needs,” said Demea Metcalf, executive director of Visit Visalia.
Following the highly successful release of the movie Rocketman, Visalia will host The Rocket Man Show, the No. 1 musical tribute in California, at the Fox Theater on July 21. The show matches Elton John’s legendary energy by recreating his early concerts with dancing, singing and eccentric costumes worn by Sir Elton John himself from 1973 to 1984!
Then, hot new country artists are performing in the Summer Concert Series, put on by the VisaliaParks and Recreation Foundation in partnership with KJUG 106.7. King Calaway and Adam Craig will take the stage to treat concertgoers to backroad anthems and small-town love songs at Whitendale Park.
King Calaway, a group consisting of six unique voices who have been referred to as “country stars for a new generation,” plays next Thursday, July 25. Then on Sept. 12, Adam Craig, one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,” grabs the mic.
Back for its third year, the Boots, Brews & Bacon Festival returns July 27 with line dancing, craft beer tastings, and bacon bites and appetizers curated by local restaurants. The festival will take place inside the Visalia Convention Center, giving beer and bacon fanatics a chance to escape the heat and enjoy the live entertainment.
Spectators are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and summer blankets to enjoy the free concerts. Tickets for the Boots, Brews & Bacon Festival include a tasting glass, beer and bacon samples.
